Well my example was a little off since I don't have the books with me, but at least the point came across well :)

 

As for a scourge on an infantry hunter brute, I agree yes to that. While I generally have found that running a fist brute into as much as a tactical squad is a bad idea, if I were running plasma or two mele weapons with the intent of charging infantry, the ws difference would add up faster. Though not necessarily intuitive, in many cases a fist brute WILL die to krak grenades.
