Dual wolf claws. Yay or Nay

suppose it depends on what you want the model to do.

the dual claws are good against horde for the extra attack, especially on the charge and combined with other stuff like a wolf banner and logans living legend. you could put out a very unpleasant amount of attacks if you tried

but you only need the 1 claw for a reroll, and you don't get any extra benefits with re rolls for 2 claws

so against tough armies like Meq forces then a combi might be better to give you an added bit of punch, or if you are lacking tank busting then a combi melta is always a fun little surprise

but again i think it all depends on what you want the model to do

i thought specialist weapon had to be another weapon of the same type?

"A model fighting with this weapon does not receive +1 Attack for fighting with two weapons unless both weapons have the Specialist Weapon rule.", BRB, pg.42

Both the Wolf Claw and the Power fist are Specialist weapons.

Just finishing off some first modelling/painting ive done in a while, and one of the guys ive made is wc/pf. Dead pleased with the model - have a few more to finish and then was gonna put some pics up on here somewheres ;)

Having him ride in a rhino with my RP in an upcoming apocalypse game, reckon he should be pretty useful for hiding away in the squad and accepting challenges when needed.

There are tons of threads on here concerning WGTDA.  Skeletoro is the resident expert imho.  In summary however here is a quick go...

WC/CF is the best CC choice: you destroy vehicles and lay waste to troop types as well.  The TDA delivery system should have 1 or 2 SS max.   Most of the rest should be axe/cplas with maybe 1 sword/cplas; These models are our most efficient use of points.  And lastly Axes and SB are not bad if on a budget and the bitz bizz looks exp to you.

Good luck.

I thought I read somewhere that dual claws allow you to re-roll both to hit and to wound? The logic being a single wolf claw lets you choose one or the other, two therefore allows both?

FAQ specifically says no, though it would be awesome if you could. Would make it worth it to actually buy two, considering the new specialist weapon rule.
