Need some help with white

Recommended Posts

Hello brothers, long time lurker first time painter. Love the 40k world (and space marines for most) and have really been wanting to improve my painting skills.

After a few test models I have been wanting to paint white (a difficult color for sure), it has proven to be VERY hard so I have decided to try maybe a more of a off white then a pure white, going for a cream color maybe. Anyway I have sprayed a squad white primer and would like some advice on what to do next

Please and thank you for any help offered!

well what i do for my white chaos marines is use a home made wash made from lahmian medium and dawnstone grey. then a drybrush white and your done. it works brilliantly to do an army fairly quickly. Today i just bought a valejo light grey wash which may be even better. i will report back once i've tried it.

oh, check out my WIP blog to see some white results

You can check out my WiP thread to see how i do my white;

They are more of a pure white.

I achieve mine with a couple of thin coats of ceramite white/lahmian medium over a nuln oil wash.
