Brotherhood of the Lynx

Here will be my painting log of my Dark Angels successors, they have a rather odd name, but in short, the M-Class Planet they call home, is home to an evolved descendant of the Earth Lynx which dethroned most of the world's native predators. People grew scared of this beast they revered as an example worthy of admiration, most warriors trying to be like the animal.

 

Discovered by the Consecrators after their founding it first became home to a small fortress and after studying the native humans and their life in a feudal state, through diplomacy and manipulation the Chapter Master of the Consecrators managed to convince the High Lords of Terra with the help of the parent chapter to approve the creator of the Brotherhood.

 

While it follows the structure of a knightly order, in many ways similar to the Dark Angels, the Brotherhood of the Lynx often uses camouflage, infiltration and deception, but their nominal dress colour is forest green.

 

The Bloodwing, organized on the same role as the Deathwing as which it existed for some years until a bloody battle where most 1st company veterans were lost adorns itself in red, the blood of their fallen brothers, while keeping green shoulderpads and silver helmets.

 

The Sandstalkers, the Ravenwing under simply a different name are master riders, adopting the colour of the Dune Lynx, a ferocious subspecies of the Lynx inhabiting their homeworld, stalking the sands, taking down prey many times its size.

 

The Battle companies are often seen wearing either green or camouflage armour based on mission profile, but always the forest green shoulderpads remain the norm.
