I do a rough mix of purple wash and Coelia green wash over a grey undercoat, but I then re-paint over the brands and flesh, so it's a little more time consuming than that, unfortunately. It's actually a surprisingly forgiving method of painting, but then again I've always found non-power armor figures easier to make look good.
