Can GK's Get Strom-Talons?

Quick question mates, since GW decided to not plan ahead and make enough copies of the Death from the Skies book, I just need some clarification about something. With most people conferming that most of the Marine book getting acess to the Stormraven, will the GK's be able to take a Storm-Talon? If thats the case then I would like that a lot, as I think its a great flyer for its point cost.

Grey knights have enough toys already. I guess a certain MW may already have plans to roll out talons into their arsenal though. Possibly with "super-grey knight laser psychic bombs" and a teleport array. And if you if you shoot it it turns into a dragon that breathes a cloud of dice that always roll a six.

Lol no need to be a troll dude, however I still think the Storm-Talon would be a nice addition to the GK arsenal. However I still havent gotten a solid yes or no answear yet, seems like no one has a copy of the book yet. However, if Codex space Marines can get the  Storm-Raven, then I think its possible the GK's could have it.

It's not a good investment anyway. The thing is easily disposed off, it is nearly Raven price with good weapons (twin AC and twin las), and it can't transport anything.

Just use our Raven, its better anyway.

It's no where near raven prices at all. It's 140 points for a ST with that loadout. Remember, redundancy is an important part of list building. An ST + SR is more efficient than 2 SRs. Additionally, the ST is an escort craft, so you can have it escort the SR on and only make one reserve roll for the both of them. Unfortunately, none of this really applies to GKs, since we don't get the ST. If your a C:SM or BT player though, I'd consider the ST + SR combo. Kind of expensive, but it will certainly give you a decent air presence.

No trolling intended. I don't really have a problem with the GK army at all. Nobody is forced to run it as a cheese fest, it's just that a certain writer makes it an easy proposition.

If you really like the talon, I'd go for some codex space marines as an allied detachment. Paint them in a nicely contrasting colour and say they're a chapter which has been placed on secondment to the big silver dudes.

I see your point jeske, but I don't look at like a tax, more of a garnish. Nobody really wants the lemon wedge that comes with a piece of fish, but it pretties the plate up and can even add a little zing if applied correctly.

Little bits of extra flavour make army building more interesting. Otherwise all armies would look the same.

Hmm, maybe I'm thinking of CML+Skyhammer price. Ah well, 140pts is still a lot for a flying Rhino. I'd rather pay the 65pts extra for transport capacity, AV12 and a better weapon suite. Not to mention 'Fortitude' is pretty handy on a Flyer.

I wouldn't go double Raven outside of 2k or higher. Air presence isn't that important when we have PsyDreads and 'Prescience' boosted psycannons.

Heh, I'm now referring to min Tac squads as 'Lemon Wedges' in list writing.

The combat squad isn't 'flavour', its there to unlock the Marine unit we want (in this case, Stormtalon). Tac Marines aren't worth taking over Strikes or Henchmen, ever.
