Raulmichile
Do talismans grant natural 5+ deny the witch save? If not how does it work? Thanks for the quick advice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271909-wolf-tail-talisman/ Share on other sites
Bloody Legionnaire
the Wolf Tail Talisman is used after the 'deny the witch roll.' Dont know what you mean by "natural," The Wolf-Tail Talisman enables the affected unit to deny enemy psychic attacks on a roll of 5+ (again after Deny the witch) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271909-wolf-tail-talisman/#findComment-3314654 Share on other sites
MustangTC
The FAQ changed this so that you may only make one roll to attempt to prevent the effects of a psychic power. Consequently the WTT replaces the 6+ DTW roll with a 5+ which is again trumped by the Rune Priest's staff of no. Squark
Unless the power's from more than 24" away. Then it's merely comparable to his 5+ Deny the Witch (Because he's a psyker) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271909-wolf-tail-talisman/#findComment-3314917 Share on other sites
Marshall Bretton
however if it is within 24" its any power not just targeted ones. on which note, does that mean if a psyker within 24" of a priest targets a different wolf squad, the priest can attempt to dispel it with his runic weapon, and if he fails the squad can then attempt to dispel with dtw or a wolf talisman? Bloody Legionnaire
Did not know about the FAQ update. That is lame! Good call though. The way the guys at the FLGS explained it was deny the witch happened no matter what.. then something like the Staff or Wolf Tail Talisman came into play. Grimtooth
In my playstyle, WTT are just about useless as my force will always be moving enmasse and not be spread so far apart as to not get a save from the runic weapon. Forces spread to thin is bad, mmmkay? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/271909-wolf-tail-talisman/#findComment-3315214 Share on other sites
