Primach Showdown - the ones that didn't happen!

So we all know the classic match ups in the HH, Russ vs Magnus, Fulgrim vs Manus and Horus vs Sang.

But who would you have liked to see duke it out, both Loyalist and Traitor???

I would love to have seen The Lion vs Sang, as everyone talks about how much of a badass Sang was, and I love the Lion.

Discuss!

Also there are some previously unknown to us fights. Lorgar vs. Corax on Isstvan V. The one in Betrayer that was totally awesome but I won't spoil it. We may also see something like Vulkan vs. Curze. Horus Heresy is still open, everything can happen.

Cruze and corax kinda happened. Wasn't really a fight but still.

I'd love to have seen the outcome of sang and angron. Sang seems to be the one primarch along with Magnus that worried the traitors the most. Obviously Magnus sided with the traitors. Sang seems to be the only one that can stand against angron and Horus.

Dorn and perturabo would have been good.

Dorn vs Guilleman, almost got to see it happen.

Vulkan vs Angron, self sacrifice vs sacrifice all

Mortarion vs Cruze

Corax vs Sang

Alpharius vs Omegeon

And finally Khan vs any of them, since he nearly spent the entire Heresy chasing orcs.

well if they ever release all of the models we can actually do this ourselves teehee.gif

betrayer spoiler here!

must say Guilliman vs angron and lorgar at the same time was epic

i would like to see russ take on any of the others

Perhaps the best way to approach this is to stick purely to "Who you want to see go at it And Why" and avoid any and all predictions (since we already know Guilliman could kill Chuck Norris if he wanted to, it just is never a fair fight with GrandPa Smurf! Troops.gif

But really, I want to see Horus (pre chaos) vs any of them. Never really known for a particular style of fighting (I cant be satisfied with the whole 'spear to the enemy hq, and Horus himself is the tip of said spear- its so basic it hurts), I think it would be really interesting to see how he would pull out a win against some of the wilier ones like Sangy, Russ, the Khan, even the Lion, who is known to know how to win (Angron's blaringly obvious weakness is too easy to exploit), since, well, Horus Always knew how to win!

He apparently fights like bastard, chopping tendons, crushing windpipe, severing jugulars etc. Seriously, debilitating strike in his rules is probably the best thing ever.

Sang would beat Lion. He's top 3 along with Horus and Angron. In straight up fight anyway.

Eh, I'm not convinced.

The Lion managed to hold himself against Russ for over a day, in a fist fight at it.

Could be nice to see that as a mini.

You know, for the Executioner Primarch, Russ's track record against his brothers (L-the Lion, L-Angron, W-Magnus*)

*thanks to interference from his wolves and an extremely lucky shot

Primarch vs primarch battles are usually battle between equals. It inevitably comes down to luck in such.

I would both love and hate to see Sanguinius and Curze fight.  Hope vs. fear.  Nobility vs. savagry.  The very antithesis of each other's view of humanity.  Their fight would have almost... ALMOST as much meaning and depth as Sanguinius vs. Horus.  Freakin' poetic.

Except in this case I wouldn't know who to cheer on because both Sagnuinius and Curze are paragons of absolute manliness and badarsery.  I almost quite literally vomited happiness and despair onto the pages when ADB had Blood Angels fighting Night Lords.  I have never had such conflicting emotions churn in my stomach when reading a battle... I can only conclude that ADB is out to harm my well being and is indirectly threatening my life.  I swear if he or anyone ever writes a Sanguinius vs. Curze fight I will both love and terrorize the author with every last atom of my existance.

I'll never see it but I'd love to have an actual fight with Mannus vs Fulgrim.  So much build up for their fight then they only duke it out once, the first time Fulgrim sucker punches then runs.  The second was so ridiclously one sided that Fulgrim couldn't really have lost if he tried and had some crazy deamon weapon.  So anti climatic for one of the biggest duels in the series.  Would have been like if magnus disappeared to the warp before they ever swung at each other.

Sanguinius vs Fulgrim. The Emperor's Angel vs the Traitor's number 1 Primarch killer.

Sanguinius, Angron and Horus are supposed to be the top three, but Fulgrim can't be far behind. You can argue he had help from the daemon but I've always believed Fulgrim to be a top tier duellist, what with his fanatical adherence to seeking perfection in all things.

My bets would be on Sanguinius, but it would be a hella awesome fight to read about, purely because they shared similarities in doctrine before Fulgrim went all weird.

Also, Dorn vs Anyone. Literally any Primarch. Dorn's Legion is my favourite, and spawned arguably the greatest blade master the Space Marines ever saw, who was legit as well. None of this Chaos super power milarky. So it stands to reason that Dorn should be pretty good in a sword fight. And yet, I don't think he fights a single Primarch in the whole Heresy. Disappointing really.

I'd like to see Mortarion vs Ferrous, or, since that has zero chance of happening now, Vulkan. Two Primarchs known for soaking up ludicrous amounts of punishment going toe to toe until one of them falls.

Curze vs Russ, for the title of "Who's the toughest Primarch who got beat up by the Lion".

The Khan against Fulgrim or Angron, given that Lorgar mentions Khan as being as good with a blade as the Phoenician.
