playedsincedaemonhunters
Wolf Lord-260- Bjorn Stormwolf. Terminator Honors Wolftooth Necklace Saga of the Warrior Belt of Russ 2 Fenrisian wolves for Flare heres the best part......... 2xchainfsts....... yes..... i chose those.... why? BECAUSE BJORN STORMWOLF MAKES HIS PRESENCE KNOWN! Hes loud, Hes proud, he will walk through units if used correctly, obviously models with st8 weapons can pop him also, thats why i plan on running him with a PA TDA mixed wolf guard unit, <-meat shields. Hes going trolling in a crusader, it is the loudest of the bunch i would assume........ 12 bolters an, assault cannon, and frag launchers? thats abotu as loud as it gets for sm tanks. Read his fluff i think this fits him well, Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/ Share on other sites
skeletoro
Honours = armour? CF+WC > 2x CF (10 points cheaper, can choose which to use, and you get the extra attack) SotWB sounds good in theory but challenges and failing to stay in assault every single turn will reduce benefit substantially. playedsincedaemonhunters
hes with a whole unit of characters, ill just vomit one of them up till he needs to step in with heroic intervention, the claw thing is a good idea.... but ive thrown good ideas out the window, with my keys to our flyers also, this is all about glory now. the claw does sund enticing though.... Grimtooth
WG in a WG pack are not characters. WGPL and WGBL are characters, WG are not. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317448 Share on other sites

playedsincedaemonhunters
In the 6th ed rule book wolf guard are listed as characters same as paladins. And im probably going to give him a wolf claw, chain fist. unless i find and easy way to mak a right armed chainfist. Marshall Bretton
the faq changed that, neither of them are now which is annoying, there should be 1 model counted as a character at least for the sake of challenges etc Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317475 Share on other sites
playedsincedaemonhunters
shucks.... well thanks for the headsup, i need to catch up on faqs.... all the dozens of them, and that is rather stupid.... why have them be "characters" if their not characters.... Marshall Bretton
i suppose it stops stuff like challenge spam where you charge a 5 man unit a a deamon prince or something and then challenge it once a turn to lock it in combat for 5 rounds it doesn't really make that much of a difference tbh though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317479 Share on other sites

Rik Lightstar
I think the issue was more with the fact that the entirety of both those units were getting access to precision strikes and shots, pretty brutal with the way those units can be set up. Wulfebane
You can still designate one Wolf Guard as the sergeant "pack leader" and he can count as a character unit, I believe. Styrbjörn
Before the faq I ones had a fight between a unit of WG and a unit of noobs, keeping track of all the rules fore all models and possible combinations got tedious quite fast. Glad its gone. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317522 Share on other sites
Marshall Bretton
You can still designate one Wolf Guard as the sergeant "pack leader" and he can count as a character unit, I believe. i was under the impression that they were all just wolfguard/paladins/nobs none of them counted as characters or anything like that, so no challenges, no precision shots and no look out sirs to save valuable models (except of course ones that have joined the squad) with wolfguard as soon as they split off the be pack leaders they become characters, but a wolf guard can't be a pack leader for a wolfguard squad Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317528 Share on other sites

There is no "designating" one as a character. None of them are characters, until they are split off to be WGPLs. DanPesci
I love the idea of twin chainfists on a terminator, sounds/looks well solid. However as pointed out above, theres really no advantage to it with the new dual special weapons rules. (its actaully a disadvantage to WC/CF) Would have been nice to see some osrt of bonus for having two of the same special weapon, counts as mastercrafted or summat would be nice (e.g. take 2 chainfists, and you get the extra attack, and can reroll one miss). and give people more of an excuse for taking things like dual fists other than it just looking pretty damn sweet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272088-chooooo-chooooo/#findComment-3317561 Share on other sites
