Interesting review

These imperator guides are a good read. Thank you for sharing!

It does a good job identifying problems and offers decent solutions.

I still struggle with the idea of warp flame. But if you play it right, it will do more damage to the enemy then it rewards them. And the rule says you roll at the end of the phase. So just kill the target unit and there is no more issue. My biggest issue now is that Pink Horrors can be negated by DtW. Sure its just a 6+ but I get denied more than I should. Its more of a personal problemgeek.gif

Hey now, my review was simply a ranking of the units according to my pre-use thoughts, though it was hardly negative (maybe 30%). :P

Horrors are great, until one realizes they can get nerfed on a 6+, or a 5+ if there's a psyker in there, or a 4+ if the psyker is better than you, or a 3+ if they have Adamantium will...oh, and if there are SW or Eldar anywhere, just forget about using powers altogether.

Anyway, I think the time for reviews is past, it's time to get playing! Daemons are soo much better and more fun than before!

Haha I wasn't saying it was overly negative :) I just thought you didn't see mention some of the great combinations or Tactics that make certain units much more worthwhile than they initially appear. Horrors obviously won't work well against armies with great psyker defence, but very few armies sport a mass of psykers or a smattering of Adamantium Will for it to be too hard on the fiery jesters. As it is, I think they are fine, but we will have to wait and see how new armies fare in terms of psyker defence.

*Nods*

I think Codex: Eldar will reveal a lot there. Hopefully, when both Eldar and Grey Knights as well as Space wolves are redone, Psy-defence is a bit more tuned down. I reckon it will be. So far, all of the 6ed codices seems pretty much equal/balanced, which is very, very nice for a change. On the other hand, I am fairly certain some people who frequent this forum (particularly those in the grey Knights sub forum now discussing how utterly useless codex daemon is and how fine and perfectly balanced their Da Vinciesque Ward master work is teehee.gif ) will be unpleasantly surprised at the new (hopefully) re-balancing of warhammer 40K.

So yeah, really looking forward to the really important rumoured updates to Eldar and Imp Guard. So far, so good in 6ed IMO.
