Montuhotep
Okay, although I want to put a Stormraven into my impending White Scars force, I really don't like the model. I've seen the CHS 'stretch' kit but even though it makes the proportions more correct it doesn't do much for me. I was thinking of replacing the rear and tail with the back and tail booms of the IG Valkyrie to both add length, bulk a bit and also a more aerodynamic shape, although Marines are usually as aerodynamic as a brick. A fair idea or can you suggest other things I might try? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272378-stormraven-conversion-idea/ Share on other sites
DerekLee688
For myself, I was planning on mixing the Storm talon and storm raven kits. I was thinking about placing the forward missile pods of the storm talon on it's rotating engines. The logic there is the engines could rotate upward for hover and the missiles could fire from a verticle angle and still guide back on target hitting from the top like good AT missiles do today. (top armor being the weakest armor on most tanks). I would be going for wingless look for the gunships. I was also thinking about putting a set of storm raven thrusters(the ones on the front and wingtips) where the heavy weapon pods go, to give it a more "hover capability". These gunships weren't ment to glide like birds, more like armored bricks with fusion powered rocket boosters. I don't actually own the kits, but wonder if you could put the rotating storm talon engines on the Storm Raven. NemFX
I think having wings on it would look good, but you might wanna just hold them in place and see what you think.
