Help with Sisters army for throne of skulls 2013

Recommended Posts

My idea for Dominions is this:
1 squad of 6, multimelta, 2 melta, simulacrum, immolater with twin-linked multimelta.
1 squad of 10, combi-flamer, 4 flamer, simulacrum, rhino/repressor (whatever's accepted)

Absolutely yes for the defense line. Only [reliable] anti-air option we currently have. Stick some retributors on it for extra fun.

Repressors are not allowed.  No FW at GW events :(

I just double-checked to be sure.

Please Note

• Forge World and Warhammer Forge rules and Army Lists are not in use at Throne of Skulls events.

It will be 1500 point games with missions out of the rule book determined randomly before each round.

Personally I prefer the bastion since you get the AV 14 and a high vantage point. It protects you more against ordnance templates too. They have to aim at one level so they might avoid firing it at the battlements for fear that the shot will scatter away and hit nothing.

Doms I like smal squads with MM immolators for that extra melta range and the ability to clock 2 tanks instead of 1. Usually by the time they arrive the other player has enough other things to worry about, so they can survive. If not then their job is done anyway and nowy really scary units are on top of them! :)

Or just aim at the bastion and blow that up seen that a few times recently :-(

With this is mind I think I only have 2 scoring units

Cos 1500pts is likely to be ....

Saint, 2x BSS with MG and HB, 2x doms with 2 mg SS with CM PS in immorlators with TLMM's, serephim, 2x exorcist, Rets with 4 HB SI... Defence line and quad gun

Remember that in 1 mission your heavy support are scoring and 1 mission your fast attack are scoring. msn-wink.gif

Also, it's only Throne of Skulls that retains that rule - the GW kill team and campaign events are all Forge World allowed.

Personally I tend to run two full squads of 10, one with meltas, one with flamers, in a Repressor.

Guys and girls just a quick one ...

Doms squads .... 2 10 girl squads in rhinos or 2 5 girl squads in immorlators with TLMM ??

And would u sport a defence line ??

Depends on how the rest of your force is looking..

I prefer one of each

-10girl Dom squad takes the burn em option with support from Saint+Seraphim

-5 girl+immo gets support from exorcist/retibuters or repentia/pen engines

and yes to defence line if you use campers

A good friend of mine plays Sisters and won the ToS a couple years ago with them; he runs 2 Dominion squads with meltas, a combi melta on the Sister Superiors and Immolators with MM. He uses no more than 6 models because they'll die easily enough anyway.

You need those points elsewhere in the list.

I also like the idea of a melta squad only being 6 strong. You're over 200 points with all those toys already, and as has been mentioned, they'll likely crack a target, maybe 2, and then get singled out and destroyed.
I would push for 10 being the size for flamers tho, as you can get twice as many templates in there, and there's no such thing as too much fire.
