Ok so I've worked a long time and finally was able to focus my attention on Baradiel "the Avenger"...he looks in my opinion grim a little but still a very good model :)

Thanks gents I hope to give it the betrayal of Calth feel, after all over time I will make a diorama for my strike force that is on Calth, so you will see more units probably from different companies and over time I will make the Pre-Heresy Raven Guard that were on Isstavan and Salamanders. But for now I just placed in the order for a Mk II Legion assault Squad so hopefully it will be in the mail by next week, so until then I'm going to make little projects that I will need everyone's help in, cheers!

Ok so the last member of squad Invictus is finished (and ahead of schedule too!), so meet Mason "the Silent". Now most of you will think the red helmet means sergeant of the squad but to remind you this is a company that will be during the fighting on Calth and has not been given the order to paint their helmets red for the status of that rank yet, so instead he is marked for censure...any theoreticals why (because I want you to guess just for fun )? Well anyways here is, and so far my favourite as well

The first picture is a bit bright and sharper only because it was unfocused when I took it so the colours pop out a bit more then in the other...I used photo editing to do this.

One question I have to ask everyone, which Legion should I make next? Here are the options:

 

• Iron Warriors
• Iron Hands
• Word Bearers (this is the crimson colour sheme only!)
• Salamanders

Now this is all Pre Heresy and I will at least try and make a 2000 Point army each but will off and on start working on the other Legion of this vote to give myself some diversity and not get tired of the Ultramarine colour scheme (since I grow bored easily), so cheers for viewing, voting and commenting!

Now it has been awhile since the last time I posted but just wanted to give an update on current projects that are being planned or WIP.

 

1. I gave my Ultramarines more of a brighter gold since it would suit them better, but I did nothing to the blue since I like it darker.

2. I'm working on the head for my Assault Sergeant, now I would believe most of you are going to be familiar with the character I'm basing it off...but since I'm still new to using green stuff it will be a loose version or head of him, I will post in a few days or so when it is finished. But here is what I plan on it looking like:

So a complete 10 man Assault Squad is coming in to join my Ultramarines and more will come in later on, the next army that will be made after this one is Pre-Heresy Raven Guard. Cheers!

Excellent work so far on your Ultramarines.  I think that there is a Cygnar warcaster whose head looks very similar to the one want for your assault sergeant.  You might want to look into getting one to transplant onto your conversion.

Now bad news is new forgeworld minis haven't arrived yet so that left me crafting a diorama just for fun, now be warned that the possessed warrior doesn't look all great but that is just the poor quality of the picture that isn't doing it justice, once paint is on it the full magnificence of chaos will be seen, cheers!

The Diorama look great so far The poses of the two guys are really cool. Im looking forward to see it finished :)

What legion next ? I would go with a legion which is in the first book, or wait till the next book. Then you can use all those nice legion specific models and bitz for you next legion. But if you can't wait.... I would go for Salamaders.

@batu That's a good question I think I will be doing an Assault Squad for the Emperor's Children loyalists with the sergeant having extra greenstuff armor since I just recently made some proto sculptures to outline the sisters of silence that will made hopefully in the near future when I get all my ideas and designs written down for individual members per squad member (3 man squad just to keep it simple for now), and thank you I hope the diorama will be done by the end of the week since I'm in the painting stage now and hopefully with the grace of the Emperor I will get my Mk II Assault Squad of 5 or 10 depending if they make it on time

@Gearhart Hahah what forgworld minis? Since most of them haven't arrived yet and the ones that have I'm saving up for a special project but I will try to keep decent quality since I'm now exploring the ancient paths of greenstuff (or more like rediscovering since I used to make sculpture designs for various games ).

@miniaturepainter Cheers mate now that you mention it they do look ancient

So just report on projects and ideas that I have in mind here is the list I have made up:

1. Draw sketches for Silent Sisterhood models like armor designs, helmets etc.

2. finish diorama by Friday (European time Germany) and post it on the same day it is finished

3. make GS molds for the Pre-Heresy EC Assault Squad that will be coming hopefully soon, so I can give them more...eccentric designs and individualism

4. Start sculpting Silent Sisterhood models just for the heck of it

5. create more Possessed warriors (Gal Vorbak) for the heresy WB so I can get in the groove of making perfect daemonized marines

6. Next Legion to be made after EC will be either Iron Hands or Salamanders since I'm eager to get to grips with making them and I just simply love both of them

So there is my list of projects and I will post sketches of the SS models that will be made and I hope to get everyone's input on it, so cheers for viewing and commenting!

Noticed not many liked the diorama (had multiple sources not just the B&C) but honestly I really did not like it myself since it felt off, but it was a good excuse to try some new painting tactics that I've meaning to use . Well anyways I just wanted to post the latest report that I have decided to make one squad of marines for every legion and once every legion has been made (the one squads) I will ask everyone which Legions Astartes I should expand on (Space Wolves, Ultramarines, Iron Hands etc.) so cheers until next time! Also if anybody has some good ideas for special characters of each legion (mainly just armour design for sergeants) then I'm happy to listen and possibly add it to the miniature, cheers!

The next order is here, a two man Mk II Assault Squad and I have planned to make one marine from the Emperor's Children, Iron Warriors, Sons of Horus, Iron Hands, Word Bearers, Night Lords, Salamanders, Death Guard, Imperial Fists and Blood Angels. I already have just assembled the EC and Sons of Horus marines, so enjoy!

Usually I dislike UM as they are UM and "your" primarch had a little beef with "mine" ;-)  BUT I have to admit, that your Marined look briliant, down and dirty, thats how I like heresy armys !

@AgnostosTheos Thank you I actually like darker marines since it fits my character and the Ultramarines are my favourite if not for their 40k then definitely their Heresy era marines since respect and battle tactics of that time do fit my style
