Raven Angel
I'm reading through the new Daemon dex and found the part in the Khorne section on the Waaa of warboss Daemon-Killa who invaded the Eye of Terror and pleased Khorne so much that he has kept them around to fight with his daemons forever. Has anyone else seen that and what kind of army ideas has it conjured? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272560-orks-of-khorne/ Share on other sites
Montuhotep
It actually ties back to a similar entry in Codex: Orks which describes this from an Ork standpoint; a neat little link between old and new 'dex editions I think. And of course, back in the day you could get Khornate Stormboys.... Guest Vortex
I first read about that in the Ork codex and found it really quite amusing and awesome, as I think all good Ork fluff should be, but I don't have the new codex yet so I'm guessing it's told from a more Daemon point of view this time? As far as 'Chaos Orks' go, though, I still prefer the diseased Nurgle Orks mentioned in the narrative section of the old Daemonhunters codex. Muskie
Orks and Chaos have been potential allies since Rogue Trader times. That is why I have two armies, orks and chaos, have used them together since 2nd Edition, haven't used the orks at all since 2nd edition. There were mutated irks in one of the old Ork army lists. Possessed orks maybe, the Shock Attack Gun always used the warp... the emperor is scottish
This has always been a pretty cool idea and seen it pop up on forums ever now and then. I'm sure there was a piece of art work in the old daemon hunter codex that showed orks corrupted by nurgle. I don't think orks would ever willingly worship the dark gods. To them gork and mork are the be all and end all. I'm almost a 100% sure there's a piece of old fluff where gork gives one of the chaos gods a good hiding. If anyone can confirm this that would be great. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272560-orks-of-khorne/#findComment-3325140 Share on other sites

If anyone can confirm this that would be great. I have actually built a Chaos Ork Warboss and a few boyz for a doubles tournament I went to with my orks allied to Chaos marines. Here's a link if anyone is interested: http://www.the-waaagh.com/forums/?showtopic=43136 Orks would never openly turn from Gork and Mork to embrace chaos - however chaos can be pretty subtle. I see no reason why a deamon couldn't turn up and claim to be a vision of Mork or something like that. Orks are resistant to corruption so 9 times out of 10 the orks would tell the daemon to zog off and go at it with choppas, but once in a while it might work, especially on a small group of ork freebootas. As for the fluff you mention - I heard there is some rogue trader era fluff where Mork turns Nurgle into a squig and eats him (I assume he got better). Makes Draigo seem a bit tame Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272560-orks-of-khorne/#findComment-3325426 Share on other sites
Slayer le Boucher
Orks invades and plunders an Imperial world. In the deeps of one of the Hivecities, they found an Artefact dedicated to Khorne, their bloodlust is deeper and more powerfull, and it makes shiny red swirls and lights, they decide to keep it. They go back in Space on their Space Hulk, they warp in and warp out, attack next Imperial World, unwillingly they start to change and be more aggresive, and they start mutating. Old 3ed 3rd War for Armageddon; their was a case of Orks findng the Khorne Monolith left by Angron in the 1st War for Armageddon, they become empowered with the Monolith power, and are a reall nuissance and really troublesome for imperial forces.
