Fearless and sweeping advances

Recommended Posts

a fearless unit should not be falling back, that is kind of the point as i understand it, so they should never be in a position to be caught by sweeping advance

if a fearless unit loses a combat they stay locked in combat until they are destroyed or they win and the other side falls back as far as i understand things

Stop and look at the close combat procedure.  After the combat results are counted, there is a leadership test to see if the loosing side breaks.  Sweeping Advance is against units they break and run and ALSO lose the Initiative test to see if they get away.

Fearless units automatically pass the leadership test.  So they never break and run. So there is no sweeping advance against fearless units.
