tomsev Posted March 11, 2013 Share Posted March 11, 2013 hi everyone im looking to add between 800-1000pts of vanilla marines to a 2000pts DA triple wing army. What would you all recommend for that? i was thinking something like a libby with a sternguard squad to gate around using the beacons from my ravenwing for safe no scatter jumps to where they are needed after the first assault given by the deathwing. i was also thinking of a storm talon as all i have at the moment for anti air is a dev squad and some black knights, so i could do with some help from above. does anyone have any thoughts on this front? what else could i add???? Giga Posted March 11, 2013 Share Posted March 11, 2013 Librarian Tactical squad Stormraven Stormtalon Kit them out in whatever way best serves your list. I'd personally go with skyhammer talon and multimelta/lascannon/hurricane bolters/extra armor raven. Librarian ofc gets null zone + whatever other power you want (avenger is good, but some people love gate of infinity). This is a really good combo for DA because, between flakk missiles, an aegis defense line, and these two fliers, you got a solid anti-flier army with some highly mobile troops (you can basically drop the tacticals wherever you wish thanks to the stormraven). Like a thunderfire cannon, some special characters (IA and the shiz) I myself just want to grab the StarPhantom siege master for +1 damage roll devastators and Veteran sergeant Haas for relentless tactical squads. tomsev Posted March 15, 2013 Author Share Posted March 15, 2013 where i play we dont do forge world stuff unfortunatly... do like the idea of libby, sternguard, in raven escorted by a storm talon, and have say sniper scouts with camo cloaks to join my objective camping units... what do you think? goosey_j Posted March 17, 2013 Share Posted March 17, 2013 If you're gonna take SM allies, all your gonna want to take is - Librarian. - Sternguard. - Stormraven/Stormtalon - Tacs/Scouts with Telion.
