Limited print models

Recommended Posts

Games day models and any other limited run models. Forgeworld had that one boarding captain I missed out on.

Thanks for the help

Usually someone on B&C notices there's a new limited edition model on the horizon and alerts the forum about it. So you could very well know about it simply by surfing on our little corner of the net. :)

A lot of the models like this are only available by attending specific events. Forgeworld also did the Arbite Enforcer model a year or two ago. They're generally available at Games Day, Forgeworld Open Day and limited other events (I got mine at Throne of Skulls). They aren't available online etc.

The Games Day models are even more rare as they are literally only available on Games Day, at Games Day. Last year's Blood Angel:

There's dozens go up on eBay the next day for largely inflated prices of course.

If you want to fid out about them join Forgeworld and Games Workshop's mailing lists - these things are always in their emails in advance. Of course, older things like LotD Sgt Centurus and Inqusitor Gideon Lorr etc are all down to eBay patience. Don't always buy the first one you see and look for wrongly listed items (not everyone knows that they're limited, or even what they are) and you can occasionally find a bargain.

It wasn't me who alerted you to them is it? Because I'll feel guilty if it's my fault you're spending so much money.

But as for the models, they normally get announced on White Dwarf daily upon Games Day announcement, and the other ones used to be released with special box sets, normally mail order only. They did a few for the Fall of Medusa V too, those were some great models.
