Dosjetka
Well, I did promise that I'd keep you gals and guys updated, so here it is: I didn't win a single bid on eBay, which basically means that I have not a single SoB model right now. The prices went too high for my allowances. This means that I'll not be able to contribute to the Vive Imperium ETL effort. But then again, I'm sure that you will do fine without my help :) And now, the long wait for plastic Battle Sisters... or the Raging Heroes Kickstarter for SoB proxies, whichever comes first. Rizara
yeah ebay is tricky at times, its amazing how fast those sisters rise up to retail prices or higher for old, battered, unpainted but sometimes primed minis. Dosjetka
As a rule, I don't tend to go above 80% of the GW retail price (with or without P&P, depends if I've got multiple bids on items from a same seller). Some of the items went way above that limit, which astounds me  For the other bids, the prices weren't that high, but they went too high for me to be able to spend money on. Being a student, I don't have the money that some people have to invest into armies :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272695-nascent-sister-of-battle-force/page/3/#findComment-3375906 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
That's unfortunate, but the Emperor must have other plans for you. I think your price limit is a good idea, you just need to wait it out. Even if that means eventually waiting for the new plastics... Rizara
I am with you on that, if I wanted to pay retail prices on sister models or close, I would just buy new from gw, at least then I get free shipping for orders over 50 which is super easy with sisters lol. Sadly I try to sell stuff on eBay and can,t even get near half of retail, but sisters are selling for close to retail it's mind blowing cause apparently the buyers don,t realize they can pay that same cost and get new, which also means getting backpacks on some of the minis that ebayer sellers seem to have lost on several of those sister sells Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272695-nascent-sister-of-battle-force/page/3/#findComment-3376117 Share on other sites
Enhrjr
Ludovic. I have to apologize, if you we're going for the box of seraphim. I swiped those. I'm sorry, but sisters were my first army back when they were released in 97 and I am actually going to do a vow tomorrow once I get before pictures uploaded. I got those seraphim in prep for my 2nd vow. I got a little overzealous and may have over-payed. Dosjetka
Haha, don't worry mate, I was actually bidding for a bunch of painted Seraphim that went up too high for me to follow ;) Any brand-new Seraphim already had high bids so I didn't even think about it :) So no need to apologise at all! Being a student, I don't have the money that some people have to invest into armies random question but how is your countries dollar compared to say UK pound or US dollar?? for me in NZ i find ebay sellers in the US easier to buy sisters from as our dollar is around 90c to the US $1 i also find that anything from the UK has massive p&p for me in NZ ,strangely enough its nearly as bad from australia which is like a 2-3hr flight away Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272695-nascent-sister-of-battle-force/page/3/#findComment-3376454 Share on other sites
ValourousHeart
Also consider that your ret squad won't be in their rhino / immolator. So matching the weapons isn't necessary. The ret squad will most likely be held up in some high vantage point where it can provide good cover fire around the board. That means their transport can be used for other purposes. Like a rhino for your repentia squad, or an extra immolator escort mixed in with your objective takers.
