Cover question

Just wondering if I can still use a squads cover if hit by a plasma cannon. Because it has the blast template does the cover save still apply?

You still get cover saves vs blast weapons (unless specified).

 

The tear drop template is the only weapon that will always ignore cover, although barrage weapons work out where the shot is coming from the small hole, so that will determine if a model gets a cover save (for example, if they is a wall between the shooter and the target, but the barrage lands behind it).

i have a rule book but i couldn't find it in the book. Thanks for the help.

Take the time to look around the forum and learn where things are before posting something, also don't hesitate to use the search function. Simply questions can usually be found quite easily and if you don't find it you at least know which forum to post under.
