Howland Greywolfe
Well since I am back at the B&C I guess I should tell you why. See, before I got a job I had so much spare time on my hands that.......I did nothing with it. Now, however I do have a job, one that leaves me with a lot of spare time at work, with nothing to do but sit on my butt and go on the work computer (sometimes I love nightshifts) I realised I could be using this time more preductively. So I built and painted an entire 2,400pt dwarf army in around 2.5-3 months, all at work and thought that, while I get settled in my new location that I would do the same to my space wolves. Now, when I was doing nothing, I hated painting (loved converting though, so almost every model is converted in some way) and my wolves were black armour with SW grey shoulder pads (Yay they were almost black templars) and looked terrable. But now is the time to start painting them in a new scheme (one more like how they should be) and why not convert some models with this lovely desposable income I now have (heh heh, mean arent I?). So I will be starting this little blog of my status and what not. Anyways, right now I am away from my my computer and on the work one so I cannot show you the pics I have done so far, however I am bored and this will give me insentive to do it later so prepare to have some work posted. In the mean time, look at the paint schemes and see how they compare Old Scheme New scheme Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272839-the-shield-brothers/ Share on other sites

legoss
Agreed, this will be a unique army if for no other reason than the paint. Keep at it and post often. Howland Greywolfe
Hardly unique. Its just fenris grey over a white basecoat. I do wash it with black wash to mute it somewhat as without it I needed sunglasses lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/272839-the-shield-brothers/#findComment-3328975 Share on other sites
Howland Greywolfe
My finished heavy bolter Long Fangs (the first painted squad so you can see the actual scheme) http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG-20130315-00035_zps046a24f3.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG-20130315-00034_zpsf6784aac.jpg And now for the first WIP my Wolf Lord, Howland Greywolfe (Howland Greywolf-ception) http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG-20130314-00033_zps958d59a9.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG-20130314-00032_zpsa32b3055.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG-20130314-00031_zps7c19dd2b.jpg As you may notice, one of the things I am doing is putting shields on all my models. The reason for this is to show thier loyalty to Greywolfe after his self imposed exile. He was granted that anyone who volenteered to go with him would be given a shield and of course, most of his great company and a few others decided to leave with him. I found its a nice way to add a little fluff and make the models look a little more...viking in my eyes and withabout a hundred dwarf sheilds left over I figured why not?
