Hello Brothers!

I've put this guy together today. He's supposed to be armed with the Mace of Redemtion instead of your usual Crozius Arcanum. I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out. IMO he looks suitably menacing smile.png What do you think?

Sorry for bad photography.

For his right shoulderpad, I've used this bit from WFB Chaos Knights box:

You know, I just think that the chaos berzerker head looks a little too evil for what you're trying to accomplish- and I think it's because of the needle like teeth.  If you were to take a sharp exacto style knife and cut across the teeth and make more human looking "chisel" edged teeth, and maybe put a hood on it, it would play up the DA symbolism very well.

Greetings, Brothers! Today, I've had some time to work on my chappy.
Unfortunately, he's still not done and as such, these are WIP photos:

I hope to have him finished by the end of this week.

I gotta ask you how you did the candles, i'm gonna guess real candles but i have been looking into making a unit of chaplain specific dark angels for my army

The idea is not mine. Some time ago I saw a great tutorial on making candles. You need a thin plastic rod, like a spear or something similar. Then you cut it to required length and drill a hole at one end for the wick. Then you place a tiny ball of GS on the model, where the "base" of the candle is supposed to be. You press the rod into the ball. You have to wait until the GS hardens. In the meantime, take thin sewing thread and harden it with superglue. Cut a little longer than you need for the candle. After GS dries, glue the rod into the socket with superglue and put some in the hole for the wick. Place the thread into the hole and trim so it looks like a candle, not dynamite ;) To represent molten wax, water down PVA and paint it onto the candle. Voila :)

As the chaplain is nearly finished, I've started working on some of
his bone coloured friends. This is the direction I'm heading with them,
apart from the fact he's not yet finished:

I need advice. I want to paint the powerfists in some different manner. I'd like hazard stripes but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull that off on a curved surface like a powerfist. The other  idea is to paint them black/green/red. Does anyone have some idea what to do with it? Maybe you have advice on how to paint hazard stripes on fists to make sure it looks good?
