In this timeline Magnus lands on Colchis and Lorgar lands on Prospero.

How do both Primarchs develop ?

Magnus is the second most powerful psyker in the universe and not nearly as gullibe as Lorgar was on Colchis Magnus was in communication with the Emperor in the warp.

Magnus is more ruthless and pragmatic then Lorgar i suspect that Kor Phaeron would be ''dealt'' with if he ever tried to control Magnus.

Magnus will eventually unify the planet but given that he is not the zealot that Lorgar is and that he knows that the Emperor is no God Colshis would develop in a different way.

How does Magnus warp lore develop as there are no psykers on Colchis to rival those of prospero and there are also no physic brain eating bugs on Colchis.

What Happens when the Emperor eventually finds him ?

Lorgar is not the psyker that Magnus is but with a Primarchs mind he would easily surpass his Prospero teachers. A Lorgar growin up on Prospero would be a more formidable Psyker then mainline Lorgar. As Lorgar livers on a planet where the warp is activelly researched his corruption could start a lot sooner. Prospero Lorgar would also know that the emperor is no God. How does Lorgar progress dealing with the dangers of Prospero and what happens when he meets the emperor ?

Magnus:

His overweaning flaw is pride, so Kor Phereon uses that to begin his corruption. The young psyker is hailed by the Covenant of Colchis as their waited for messiah, and iniated into the deepest mysteries, where daemons and avatars of the Chaos Gods bow before him. When the Emperor arrives with his Legion, Magnus is at first humbled...until he learns of the gene seed degeneration and the Emperor's failure to curb it.

When Magnus uses lore from the Dark Gods to halt the degeneration, he begins to see his father as flawed, unworthy of the obedience he demands...

Lorgar:

We'll assume that Lorgar's quest for the transcendent and faith are as much a part of him as Magnus's psyker mastery and arrogance.

Lacking the Crimson King's effortless mastery of the Empyrean, instead of the sorcerous cults he creates orders of warrior monks, who build fortress monasteries where the people of Prospero shelter from the psychoneuin (spelling?) and periodically launch expeditions to dig up tomes and scrolls from the planet's golden age, seeking anything that might provide understanding on the Abbot's visions of a golden lord and a war against the blades of Death..

Then Heresy wouldn't happened. Other than that, not much to say because it's too speculative for me.

The Heresy would still have happened but it would have been more difficult for the Chaos Gods to engineer.

Magnus does not have Lorgars insecurities and cant be controlled by a Kor Phaeron or Erebus his ego can be used against him though.

Lorgar would still have his insecurities but would not be the religious zealot that main timeline Lorgar is and would have greater knowledge of the Chaos Gods then main time Lorgar has.

Lorgar would be more likely to be corrupted earlier but would als be harder to control.

I agree that Magnus overwhelming pride would be used against him not sure it would be  Kor Phaeron to do it.

Kor Phaeron used Lorgars sentimentality to ''control'' him and push him in the direction that he wants to go. That won't work against Magnus. Magnus also has knowledge of the Warp that Lorgar did'nt and was in constant communication with the emperor.

I see the Dark Gods using Ahriman to corrupt Magnus not Kor.

Ahrimans hurt over losing his twin brother would be the perfect opening for the chaos gods to first corrupt Ahriman and then Magnus.

I can see your views of Lorgar in this timeline happening.

How will Lorgar on Prospero know of the Chaos Gods? In A Thousand Sons, Magnus knew about the great warp powers because of his voyages into the Immaterium with the Emperor, and he instructed the magisters of Prospero in mastering sorcery, not the other way around.

Prospero is a psyker planet and some of Magnus teachers knew enough about the warp to be wary of it.

Lorgar being an inferior psyker compared to Magnus would rely more on the teachings of the Magisters before he inevitably surpasses them.

With Lorgar at least in the beginning being tutored by experienced spykers before he surpasses hem Lorgar would have more knowledge about the warp and would know about the predators in the warp.

Prospero Lorgar would know about the warp and its predators and would have some knowledge about the chaos gods even being an inferior psyker compared to Magnus.

Let's compromise:

This incarnation of Lorgar knows about as much about Warp Predators as canon Lion'El Johnson, who had fought such beings in the forests of Caliban.

Also, his warrior monks? Think less hooded robes and Gregorian chanting, more 36 Chambers of Shaolin, with Lorgar's search for enlightenment turned inward to meditation and spiritual/physical perfection by Prospero's culture. Should make for an interesting brew once the Imperial Heralds inherit their culture.

If you want them to turn, their quest for perfect enlightenment is hijacked by Slaanesh and Lorgar and the boys become something like Lo Pan and his armies from Big Trouble In Little China...as Space Marines.
