SirAstartes
One day we will finally get to the Siege of Terra, the final showdown between the traitor forces of Horus and the loyal forces of the Emperor. Reading the later BL books I think they have begun setting up some of the finer details that will give us some great story when we get the siege which I will go into more detail on.Now before I post my views I want to warn people that this thread will contain spoilers, so please be aware.Well I think BL & Authors have set up some major changes that could happen at the siege. I think that we will see a small presence of other legions at Terra, one of which is the Space Wolves; the Wolves since the council of Nikea have become the watchers of other legions. Groups of Wolves were sent to each Legion to watch over them and make sure they didn't break the Edict of Nikaea. This gives us some guarantee that they may be some kind of Space Wolf presence at Terra since the Imperial Fists & White Scars both are deployed, if anyone read Fear to Tread then you know what happens with the Wolves who are based with them. Other legions could include Iron Hands, Ultramarines and the few loyal remaining Death Guard who came with Garro.Duels, Duels everywhere!I think it’s fair to say that we’re going to get a shed ton of Duels between certain characters whether it be Primarchs or Champions. Being an Imperial Fist fan boy I desperately want to see Sigismund go against my favourite traitor champion, Khârn. In the Crimson Fist it mentions that Dorn will need Sigismund before the end, I take that as he will save Dorn from something and redeems himself and becomes his son again.I would also love to see Primarchs going at each other; we know that Khan takes the Spaceport back so he could possibly come face to face with a Primarch on the field. As for Sanguinius I hope they change who he fights at the eternity gate, when he went against Ka'bandah in Fear to Tread I personally think he dominated him with ease, I really see no reason for a rematch. Instead I want to see Daemon Angron go toe to toe with Sanguinius; I think it would make a lot of sense. They wanted to corrupt Sanguinius and his legion to fall to the blood god but failed, it be great if the fallen went against the pure. Imagine the reaction of World Eaters seeing their Primarch broken over the knee of Sanguinius, the angel defeating the daemon. Also it would add to the fact why Sanguinius was battered and not to full strength when he went against Horus, anyone who took down Daemon form Angron on his own is going to be battered and not to full strength. So what would you all like to see when Siege of Terra is upon us? Marshal Varas Mortez
I too wish to see how Sigismund regains his place as Dorn's favoured son, rather than the outcast he has become, I would also love to see Sigismund's command of the palace wall. I can't wait to see the siege weapons Purturbo now how used on the assault and I believe Lucius was a notable player at the Siege of Terra and is where he first dies. Cerbero666
It would be interesting to see some elements of other loyalist legions during the siege but the really important spot should go to the IF, BA and WS...and the Fists above all of them. They spent all the Heresy preparing themselves to that moment while other loyalists were in the galaxy kicking asses, so the Siege should be the place where we get really into the Imperial Fists legion and its warriors. Some cool duels between Sigismund and people like Lucius or Khârn, or who knows, Sevatar. A duel between Sanguinius and Angron would be worhy to read too, red against read to the dead. Wulfkry
Lucius already died the first time, a certain marine with an affinity for shadows and a dislike for floors saw to that. SirAstartes
I think we can all agree that Sigismund should have his day and kick some ass, I wonder how they will play the Space battle out - Phalanx is still active in 40k lore now so it much of survived the siege and took it to the traitor fleet. Lucius dies post-heresy, being killed in a duel with Lord Commander Cyrus of the Emperor's Children. Lucius' first death is to the blades of Nykona Sharrowkyn of the Raven Guard in "Angel Exterminatus." He's brought back to life in his own body though, so perhaps Slaanesh hasn't figured out the dirty trick yet. Vesper
Oh yeah, I know, that's one bad BL retcon. But in the original fluff, Lucius doesn't get killed at Terra. Brannick
In one of the multi-story HH novels; the story being the one where the Salamander and the Ultramarine petition a forgeworld , but the Iron Warriors are already in the 'basement' - there is an entity that has taken the form of a Custodes and to have done this it had needed to have taken the blood of a Custodes. That tangent is one I thought may have come back to the fore at some point.
