m_r_parker
So it's time to get prepared for Armies on Parade 2013, and I'm trying my best to get something completed for submission this year (something I've never quite completed yet). My idea for this year is based around the decks of a Space Marine Battle Barge. I broadly know how i want to lay the board out, but the one thing that's stumping me is is the basing for the board and the the models. I want to go with a flight-deck style mixed with military grating. Seeing as it;s going to be on large areas of the board, I need to find something that can scale up well to large areas whilst being easy enough to apply to bases. What I don't have an idea on is where I can get the required materials to make this happen. I've had a look at a few sites to see if I can come up with something, but most are geared around basing rather than scenery. Can anyone help me find something that I can use to put this board together. Ideally sommething that can be easily sent to the UK would be preferable. Thanks! MedPig
Check with Verlinden, I think they're in Belgium. They have cardstock aircraft carrier deck panels for airplane dioramas. 1/72 and 1/48th, I'd guess 48th is a better fit, given the size of the tiedowns, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/273046-help-required-scenery-basing-for-space-marine-battle-barge/#findComment-3331804 Share on other sites
Octavulg
Needlepoint/crochet mesh usually makes good gratings. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/273046-help-required-scenery-basing-for-space-marine-battle-barge/#findComment-3332148 Share on other sites
