So Brothers I felt it would be nice for us to take some time out of our busy schedual of smiting vile heretics and getting angry with each other on other threads to just post/discuss some of our favourite pieces of writing from the series. So some of my personal favourites are;

'Perhaps you should call them back! They might even hear you shouting from the moral highground!!' Angron to Lorgar (I laugh every time)

'The Word Bearers have always... been weak. Never with the strength to stand alone. You've always needed an excuse.' Brother Apothecary Meros

'Corax looked around the fleeing Iron Warriors... as he shook his numb fingers.' Ravens Flight after Corax kills a group of Iron Warriors by detonating a grenade in his own hand.

Okay they may not be word for word. Feel free to contribute.

Ave Imperator.

"There are no wolves on Fenris" - It was in Prospero Burns, but I forgot who said it.

I think everyone said that in those two books tongue.png

I think it was Magnus is Thousand Son's and Kasper Hawser is Prospero Burns.

Sigismund replied.'Are we going to scrap about it now. Argue witch Legion is the toughest?
The answer always is, the wolfs of Fenris' Torgadon put in 'because they're clinically insane.'
-1st captain of the imperial fists and Captain of the 2nd Company of the luna wolves.
"Horus Rising"

i borrowed that from someone's sig, but it is a great one :p

Torgaddon had some brilliant one's I love that section when he fronts up to Eidolon on Murder.

My favorite lines:

""What?" said Ignatius Numen grimly. "I didn´t catch that."

Marius [Vairosean] ballooned his lungs for nother shriek of power.

Deaf to all sound, the Morlock triggered the volkite canon."

Angel Exterminatus

"Such is the fate of all traitors." --the Lion after giving order to obliterate traitors. Fallen Angels

‘I do not care who knows the truth now, tomorrow, or in ten thousand years. Loyalty is its own reward.’ --the Lion to Curze on why he cares not no one will remember his and his Legion's deeds. Savage Weapons

"IT HAD OFTEN been said that a Space Marine knew no fear.

Such a statement was not literally true, a Space Marine could know fear, but he had the training and discipline to deal with it and not let it affect him in battle. Captain Saul Tarvitz was no exception, he had faced storms of gunfire and monstrous aliens and even glimpsed the insane predators of the warp, but when Angron charged, he ran." Galaxy in Flames

What I especially admire,’ said the
Thousand Sons Equerry, ‘is your hypocrisy. You hound us and harass us over our
so-called sorcery, yet you do not shrink from using it, shaman.’

‘There is a vast gulf between what I employ
for the good of the Rout and what you practise, warlock,’ Helwintr replied, ‘and the chief part of that gulf is
control. Only the naive would think that mankind could survive in the cosmos
without some measure of craft and cunning to protect him, but there is a limit.
A limit. We must know what we can master and what we cannot, and we must never
allow ourselves to step beyond that line. Tell me, how many steps have you
taken? One? Three? A dozen? A thousand?’

Hated that one.

How does being deaf protect you from a weapon that vibrates you to pieces?

It's like surviving a nuclear blast because you're wearing sunscreen.

Me too - it is ultra dumb.....

Noise marines' helmet's speakers cause only aural overload. It's more akin to having no pain due to lack of nerves.

Still bull:cuss being deaf does not shield you from vibrations strong enough to damage armour.

That was the worst part of Angel Exterminatus

'I see you, I come for you AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' Like the summons of some mythic creature the mention of his name brough Cerberus to the frey.

"In his eyes there was only the pathological, perfect focus of the true madman."

Your Quote when i hear it gives me chills.  Cerberus has to be a Chaos fanboys worst nightmare.

I am torn between a couple really great quotes but ill settle on ...

"That's why,' he says.

'What?' asks Selaton.

'That's why I brought this,'  Ventanus replies, raising the bloody standard.  'Precisely for things like that"

I gave a fist pump so hard i thought i was on the Jersey shore.
