Just saw this amongst other stuff listed.

So what is a Patronica Squad and what version might a Carafalque of Sins cover?

And I guess PL means plastic? I call dibs as I posted last year already that plastic Sister are on their way!!

A catafalque is a raised bier, box, or similar platform, often movable, that is used to support the casket, coffin, or body of the deceased during a funeral or memorial service. Following a Roman Catholic Requiem Mass, a catafalque may be used to stand in place of the body at the Absolution of the dead.

Also new characters incoming.

They are on the top of the list, so after Tau but before Eldar which are listed below them.

Not to be overly negative, but there is some doubt as to the veracity of this list.

Well I might be a bit overexcited in this regard, I admit. smile.png

In the unlikely event this happens I'll spend the following weekend travelling to the far end of the province and searching my archive for my old battle sisters just to take part.

As much as I'd love to the 'Black Codex' updated for Sixth ed., this has been specifically denounced by some fairly reliable sources. Products tagged 'Imperial Agents' call the list into question on this basis alone.

Still, surprises to happen.

Not if you consider the rumors about an Allies Minidex?

If you add that to the picture the releases make a lore more sense I think.

I specifically denounced the 'Allies Minidex' rumours, when I doubted the likelyhood of a so called 'Black Codex'.

In the days of yore, when I was still new to the hobby and the rules came in multiple soft backs in a boxed set, there was a pamphlet of get-you-by lists included in the game. Being somewhat coincident with the dawn of popular internet use, yes I remember a time when no-one I knew had internet access, it needed a name for easy reference during discussions on the primitive BBS' of the era. The booklet was printed in black and white with a black bordered cover showing a massed parade of Marines guarding a gate, and thus was coined the 'Black Codex'.

Included in this Black Codex amongst the lists that later formed the Codex Book Series of that edition was a section of 'Imperial Agents' for most of which this was the sole reference for most of the edition. Most of the armies of that edition had an allowance for 'Allied Troops' which could be drawn from the Black Codex.

DakkaDakka talks a bit about this book here.

So, if we ever have an allies book, I pre-emptively dub it the Black 'Dex II.

I saw a similar list around summer time last year. I also have heard in a couple of places that SoB are going to pop in before Eldar. Still not sure how much hope to hold out, but we can always HAVE FAITH.

And to be fair, we haven't had a "codex" in quite a while. They owe us. :p

I know this sounds like warmed up rumor. Still I woo want to believe a friend of mine who works for GW here in Germany and who told me last year that plastic Sisters are in the pipe.

Plastic Sisters have been "in the pipe" for years already. I've begun to suspect that the pipeline has ruptured somewhere 'cause they've never cropped up in the trap at the far end.

Somewhere deep in the Sub-Atlantic there's a rupture, and the ocean is slowly filling with plastic battle sisters.

Well, there was some talk about the Codex: Chaos Space Marines being an "plugging" Codex (aka it was released in the place of another Codex, which could explain why a number of Chaos players were saying that it felt rushed), which would in turn reinforce the ruptured pipe theory, but I can't say when I saw that talk, where I saw it and if it is true or not.

But I too want to believe that Sisters are on the way. And I look forward to Eldar too :D

I propose we organise an expedition to recover said treasures; we charter a ship and the necessary submersibles and diving equipment.

Still works out cheaper then buying the army new :p

What's that got to do with Sisters release rumours though?

My thought behind this is, that if another item from that list appears, it would validate it. There are many rumors afly about it. Some say total humbug, some say it is valid, and someone was fired after they found out who leaked it. So it is an approach through the backdoor. :)

While a neo-'Black Codex' has been denounced by some reliable sources, I've ran across some chatter about a revised apocalypse, which would nessesitate it's own splash launch releases. This might explain some of the Imperial Agents codes as putative datasheets.
