Castellan Michael
Forgive me, but I could be described as "OLD Guard" in that I enjoy the fluff and was drawn to the game for it and play my Vlka Fenryka for that same reason. I cringe and stop myself from striking down fellow gamers to help alleviate their ignorance every time the "Red Wolves" come up. We do not have a established second sounding chapter, as far I am aware. There was the wolf brothers, but they went on the hunt, faltered and what was left we slayed before the attack on the Aett by the traitorous witches of the Thousand Sons. Please help me understand how these vanilla wannabes came into existence. You think the Terran Council is trying to mess with us, or was this just another GW writer gone rouge. Kurgan the Lurker
Just because WOLF or WOLVES is in the name doesn't mean they are SW successor. Chapter Masters select the Chapter name, so somewhere in the history of the Chapter there is a reason. Whether GW ever shares that or not is up to them. Red Wolves: • Chapter Planet: Blood Fall. Wulfebane
The lunar wolves ARE a sw successor however. Umm, no? The Lunar Wolves are Horus' Legion (XVI) and come from his geneseed... otherwise known as the Black Legion, Abaddon, etc... As said, just because they have wolves in the name doesnt mean theyre a successor chapter. We only have one, and all fluff regarding the subject specifically mentions that we only have one. Thats only actual chapters though, we have had break-off in the past, like Skyrars dark wolves and the like, and some wolves have joined the Red Corsairs(back when they were a collection of renegades), but only the wolf brothers were an actual second founding chapter. IronFather84
I think lexicanum actually suggest the Red Wolves are actually a Iron Hands successor but I am not sure of the source of that honestly. Quixus
· Hidden by Valerian, June 11, 2015 - Necro from more than two years ago. Hidden by Valerian, June 11, 2015 - Necro from more than two years ago. The lunar wolves ARE a sw successor however. Who knows? I have never heard of that chapter. One of the names of the XVI Legion however was Luna Wolves without the R. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/273456-red-wolves/#findComment-4082436
