This is what I have come up with:

Army Painter Silver

2xwash of Agrathrax Earthshade

Iyandon Dark sun on trim

1 or 2 wash of sepia on trim and guns

Meph read, brown ink, plague brown highlight dry brush

Trim out rest of model with obvious colors

Quick and easy. It is for a successor chapter of my making; Legiou Ultionis, The Punisher Legion

Here is what it looks like:

Sorry about that lack of crop...did it fast.

More, and better pics, on my blog if your interested.

Hope this helps,

I got rather simple form:

1) Base coat light grey

2) Prime black

3) thinned Abaddon black or P3 Thamar black

4) dry brush mechanics standard grey

5) wash with nuln oil

6) clean with thinned black

7) make sharp edges and highly protruded pieces with Dawn Stone / Codex Gray.

Here's one of the Death company member (well black armor is black armor) with shaded armor - Still in progress but armor is pretty much done except lacks few high light lines with dawn stone:

Or just

1) Black Primer

2) few thinned coats of Abaddon Black

3) Dawn stone high lights.

But that makes rounder parts of armor bit... lacking depth

Brown Ink....yet to dull coat it...still a bit shiny

It's an imperial bike, I added the skull..."Punisher" Legion after all...so heavy on the skulls and bones.

The Chapter has also been called upon many times to retrieve lost relics and etc, and makes it a habit of exchanging armour with battle brothers as well as taking trophies so you will see some different bits from time to time as I grow the list.

Thanks for the comment,

I found the best way to paint black is

1. Base coat Black

2. Mix 2 parts black and 1 part Eshin Grey and paint the areas of the model that would recieve the most light so for example to top the head, back pack, arms, and shoulder pads. I like to use my desk lamp and see the areas that will recieve the most light.

3. Line highlight everything with Eshin Grey except where the model would recieve no light for example the underside of the arm

4. Line high light with dawnstone grey Highlight the areas that would get the most light.

You can skip step 2 if you want but I think it makes the the black look better because in real life more then just the edges get highlighted

Sorry I don't have a pic I just figured it out the other day

Another way to paint them but I think it ends up looking a little 2 grey is

1. base coat black

2. Mix 1 part black and 1 part Eshin grey

3. Wash with badda black

4. Line highlight with Mechanicus Standard Grey except the areas that will get no light at all

5. Line highlight with Dawnstone Grey the areas that would get the most light

For this method you can either do the wash as step 3 or do it after you finish the highlights it just depends how height you want the highlights

Also http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/ has a lot of good painting tutorials and info
