This year I'm making my triennial trip to Adepticon to play in a few games. I've slowly been working on a Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus army since the release of Betrayal, so Adepticon was a perfect opportunity to get it whipped into fighting shape.

My first order from Forgeworld was a result of selling my Eldar army and brought these goodies:

• Space Marine Apothecary Set
• Space Marine Mk IV Command Set
• Four sets of Legion Mk IV Maximus Armor
• Two sets of Mk IV Maximus Armor
• Two sets of Legion Mk III Iron Armor
• One set of Mk III Iron Armor
• Forty Tigris Pattern Bolters
• Contemptor and Relic Contemptor Dreadnoughts with Kheres Assault Cannons

My Second order from Forgeworld just arrived and included:

• Legion Mk IV Assault Squad Set (20 troops plus weapon upgrade kit)
• Abaddon and Loken
• One set of Justaerin Terminators
• Justaerin Weapons Set
• Cataphractii Special Weapon Set

Along the way I picked up some other things... a set of Autocannons, Volkite Calivers, a Rapier, a few command sprue upgrades and special weapons sets.

I've played as I've assembled and my list has changed along the way. At first I thought I wanted Veterans...

But turned out I toll too many 1's and 2's for them to be effective for me. And that Chaplain has morphed along the way, first trying a few helmets and then adding a jump pack.

Got the assault squad washed and all parts accounted for. And began work on one of my Medusas.

Well, it turns out a three color base coat of greg+grey+white isn't that exciting.

Well, I kind of made it, but didn't. I got stuck with a 14-hour flight delay and missed the Heresy tournament. I did get to participate in the Heresy Apoc and posted some pics from that, and other Adepticon happenings.

I forgot the tournament required some objective markers, so I made these last-minute:

I got some 3-color minimum down on the rest. More pics in the gallery.

I'm quite happy with the converted Medusas.
