Drale
and I've got my armor down pat but I'm having trouble painting blond hair. The tutorials I can find online either do not have enough detail for me or they are old and use the old paints. Anyone have a good strategy for painting Blood Angel Blond Hair? GrandMagnus
I used to paint blonde hair (for SW) like this: Basecoat of Zandri Dust. 1st Highlight: Zandri dust and bone. 2nd Highlight: Zandri dust with even more bone. and so forth until you are happy. It will give you a very very bright blonde (more white than yellow). And its highlights because you paint each hair with the clours leaving the Zandri dust inbetween. If you want it to be more yellowish you could add some Yriel yellow I suppose. Hope it helps.
Xenith
Base Iyanden darksun. Good straw blonde colour. Layer golden yellow. Sepia wash. If its sclupted hari (mephiston) I leave it as is. If it's a plastic model, like the death company heads, they have a mass of solid hair on top, no definition. I take a fine detail brush and put some lines of watered down vermin brown to simulate hair strands
Vivster
I would paint it ushabti bone, then ushabti + white, then Pure white strands and esge highlight - then give it a glaze with lamenters yellow
