shandwen
I played a game a few days ago against a chaos space marine player with a new list i made for my space vampires, and it went so well i had to share it somewhere. Anywho: My army: Lib with JP 2x Assualt squad (5 man no upgrades) Baal Pred with Assault Cannon, HB sponsoons and Storm bolter Baal Pred with Assault cannon and HB sponsoons Baal pred with Flamestorm cannon and Heavy flamer sponsoons Space marine captain on bike with artificer armour and a relic blade. Bike squad 5 man with PF and plasma gun Stormtalon with skyhammer My opponent ran typhus, a squad of plauge zombies, a 15 man or so squad of plauge marines, a squad of marines? with mark of khorne, a three man obliterator squad, a lazcannon loaded pred, and a squad of possesed or berzerkers in a rhino. My plan was to use the outflanking flammer pred to be escorted by the stormtalon, and the rest of my army to hang just at the 24 inch range of my assualt cannons and run away from his army and shread them. My opponent deployed anchoring his left flank with his oblitirators, and his left flank with his nurgle marines and his pred. Typhus and his knorn marines were placed behind his zombies. I deployed right in the middle with my preds and bikes, and him my jumpers behind terrain. My opponent got first turn and started running his guys towards me, through cover. He unfortunatly held back his squad of nurgle marines, afraid to advance them out of cover. His predator and oblitarators fired away at mine, shaking one of my preds, but failing to do anything else. Shooting durring my first turn was rather poor. I killed maybe 2 or 3 of his zombies. The second turn i did manage to get my reserves in, and glance his rhino down to 1 hull point when by flamer came it right behind it. The stormtalon immediatly earned his points back, by popping the chaos predator. My shooting against his block of slowly advancing troops killed a few more zombiess, but he still had 4 left after turn 2. The third turn was owned by me. He advanced more, and did manage to imobilize my flamer pred (which left it out of the battle for the rest of the game). I flew my stormtalon off the board to come back with an open shot against his oblitarators. I shot my stormboltered pred at typhus, managing to do nothing to him. Ihad by not pulled my troops almost to my board edge withdrawing infront of his guys to shot him down. I also managed to kill of his rhino this turn with my other assualtcannon pred. My bikes then opened fire on the marines that spilled out. The fourth turn was where he managed to get two "gets hot" rolls on his oblitirators, and fail them both, along with failing the pen roll against my disabled flamer pred. He did manage to kill one assualt marine with his nurgle marines shooting, and then moved up the rest of his army, and then I shot him down. His possed? were killed off by my bikers this turn, and his zombies were also killed off, and his oblitarators were mauled by my stormtalon. This turn was also where I advanced, up my right flank away from his marines, still staying within my 24 inch range, but well out of his reasonable charge range. The fifth turn was a lot less destructive to him. He made a ton more armour saves and the only wounds were from my stormtalon against typhus, where he failed enough armour saves for him to be down to one wound (skyhammer ftw). Fortunatly the game ended there, and he didnt loose his warlord also. In total, he killed one marine, disabled a baal pred, and caused a hull point of damage. Kierdale
Well done, Shandwen. Sounds like your fighting-retreat paid off. How about some photos to go with the report next time? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/273705-blood-angels-vs-csm-1250/#findComment-3342742 Share on other sites
