Marshall Bretton
damn you george r r martin for your absurdly long time taken to write a book! i will be thoroughly pissed off if he dies before he finishes the series (do you think we can figure out how to ressurect him? :p ) on topic though, does anyone know how the perpetuals came about? it seems implied that because of what happened to cyrene she is now a perpetual, but the rest of them all seem to be ludicrously old, there are references to oll and jon fighting in the ww1 trenches together, and i think jon talks about being there during the roman era etc you would have thought someone would have noticed things like that, i mean ww1 soldiers saying: hey did you hear about that guy jon from 7th platoon? what the guy that got a direct hit from a 200 pounder yesterday? poor guy yeah him, except he walked into the dugout today as if nothing had happened WHAT?! Blacksad
as long as they let Michael Jackson remain dead, it's all good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/273743-damon-prytanis-from-betrayer/page/2/#findComment-3345399 Share on other sites
Flint13
So a tiny bit off topic, but I love how when a thread gets into a good swing, A D-B will appear from nowhere to add a startling insight or bit of clarity (cleverly disguised as a smartass observation) to diffuse what looks to be gearing up into a flame war. Something like the benevolent spirit of W40k forum future. Then with his wisdom dispensed, he returns to the vagueness of N.Ireland internet obscurity to wait for another badass nightlord blog to start up... Thanks A D-B! Raviusz
Thank for all the on-topic thoughts, Im certainly interested in seeing what part cyrene plays in the future of mankind, hopefully it is not the last we see of her. I do find the human characters and strories some of the more interesting throughout the horus heresy series. You get a very different view of the imperium though the eyes of the human chararacters you see what the astartes are fighting for and whats at stake but at the same time realize its not such a great place for the common man.
