Hello brothers I am about to start a new journey and I think I may need some direction. Today I thought it be a good idea and buy a sw battle force so I did and on my way home from my FLGS I got a phone call from an old friend. He told me to swing by as he is moving and found something I would like, so long story short he gave me three boxes of sw grey hunters a box of sw terminators and three new drop pods a lr crusader and Logan. So I was wondering if you all may be able to direct me in what to build and help with an army list.

OK, if you want to use your Logan model, you've got a few options.

 

One option would be to build a Loganwing army - that is, take Logan and a whole lot of wolf guard. Logan is very good, but he's very expensive points-wise, and it's somewhat unusual to field him unless you're going Loganwing. Given the models you have, this would be a bit challenging. You could do it, but I'd recommend you buy at least one extra box of terminators - perhaps 2 or 3. You can mix terminator wolf guard with power-armoured wolf guard, and grey hunter squads don't stop being great just because you can take wolf guard as troops. But you'll probably want more than 5 terminators.

 

The second option is not to field Logan, or simply to field him as a regular Wolf Lord.

 

Lastly, you currently don't have much heavy weapon support yet. Are you able and interested in using Forge World products/rules? If not, I'd suggest you try and make some of those space wolves into missile launcher Long Fangs (meaning, you'll need to get a bunch of missile launchers). If you are down with Forge World, I'd suggest you look into Hyperios Weapons Platforms. They're better than Long Fangs. That said they're a fast attack choice, so depending on whether you were planning on picking up thunderwolves etc... it can be an issue.
