Alternative apothecary colour scheme?

Recommended Posts

I have an army that is basically white as the main colour (green trim).  If I want my apothecary to stand out (beyond just the model), is there any other colour scheme that suits the known 40k background?  I don't really want to paint him green with white trim so I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for the responses.  The RT scheme is cool as it is old canon; the downsides being applicable to both red and black - 'it looks too much like a techmarine (or chaplain)'.

My chapter fluff also speaks of a great betrayal masterminded by the chief apothecary.  I'm going to say any colour is probably open and fluff in that the apothecarion changed its marking in order to atone and highlight their separation from those they had allowed to be betrayed (unknowingly of course).

The red does seem a good direction;  I'd probably do it in a mix of red and white so that it wasn't completely techmarine-esque and also marked them for censure (as per the old days prior to it marking sergeants).  I was thinking yellow but they'd look like Imperial Fists no matter the shade (mine are Emerald Fists so have the same iconography).

Again, thanks guys.
