Here's the start of my Salamanders 2nd Company, starting with 2nd Tactical squad ( I didn't have any number 1 transfers).

I started this project a while ago, however real life has delayed me getting on with it as of late. I also plan to update my blog soon too.

I would love to eventually complete the entire 2nd company, one day anyway. Hope you like them. All c&c welcome. More updates to come soon!

Thank you all very much for your kind comments.

Wow, those are lovely thumbsup.gif You've nailed the green and the flames, and I love the sparse addition of battle damage thumbsup.gif What's next?

My initial plan is to complete a playable 1500 point army. Next will be a Rhino to accompany the squad. Followed by a Terminator Chaplain that I actually finished a while ago but just needs a few final touches!

After that I'm planning to get my Stormtalon airbourne, as it's been sitting unbuilt for a while now and deserves a lick of paint.

The rest of the army is waiting to be painted. It's just a case of deciding what to do in what order.

Very nice other green marines.

Dark Angels are the other green marines, Salamanders got there first by a good 10,000 years msn-wink.gif

Beautiful Salamanders, especially love how you did the sargeant's skin tone thumbsup.gif

You am bad at maths. geek.gif

Hahaha, I blame it being late at night with a combination of exaggeration and me not wanting to check exactly how long ago a made up event was in a made up universe. Point still stands though :p

Your sallies look great.  As others have said, the flames on the right shoulder guards are awesome, and the Sgt.'s skin and eyes are also spot on.  look forward to seeing more of yuor work in the future!

I know everybody is going on about the flames and while those are impressive... that skin tone for the sergeant... holy crap man that's awesome

Thank you. The Sergeants skin was actually the trickiest part of the whole squad, as it took a while to make it look natural and get the shadows and highlights right.

Thanks again for the comments.

Where did you get the sgt's left shoulder pad from?

The shoulder pad is from Forgeworld. It's part of the 10 peice set you can buy.

Nicely done! You certainly do the dust and battle damage better than I can. Flame, highlighting, parchment, it all looks great!

But why are they all looking up?

I didn't intentinally make them all to be looking up. Although some definitley are. I guess they are just watcing the skies for incoming threats ;)
