Jim AMM realgenius Posted April 16, 2013 Share Posted April 16, 2013 I've played a few 'meat-and-potatoes' games at 1500, but feels hard to make a list at that size; it can quickly get unbalanced. 2000 seems fine, and I think 2500 would let me take plenty of goodies. Really there's no bad size (except maybe under 1500), just beware of a little less balance below 2000-2500. Anything less and you really cannot play with the large squad sizes, which (IMO) make crusade lists. If you play 40k squad size any point level will work. I'm aiming for 2,000 points in my campaign, because anything more than that and I may just shoot myself instead.
