New DIY Chapter: The Jade Templars

Hey All,

 

Always watned to post a WIP thread on here and nows my chance. Taken a hiatus from gaming these last few months, but the itch has hit me once again and this time I've decided on some good guys for a change.

 

I've always liked the background for the Imperial Fists. Love the whole dour defenders idea, steadfast and resolute to a fault. Their successor chapters have also piqued my interest, mainly the Black Templars. While I am not overly fond of their zealous crusading (loyalist equivalen to Khorne Berserkers) I am a huge fan of their iconography and the look of them. So I decided to create an Imperial Fist successor that draws a lot from the Templars while maintaing a fighting style and organization more akin to the Imperial FIsts, though maintaining some of the more stabby elements of the Templars.

 

So far I've done a couple test models and a couple scouts. For starters I'd like to say my painting skills are kinda meh. As are my photography skills. So I apologize for the quality. They aren't as bad as they look, though they aren't my best by far.

The gentleman with the two handed sword will be my Chapter master. Sword and Head are Grey knight bitz, while his legs are forgeworld crusader and his pack is sanguinary guard minus the wings, Company champion body and a few BT bits for good measure.
