I still feel that all the special characters should be immune to spawndom or prince hood, but fair game to Abaddon i guess biggrin.png

I agree... at least it's nice to see our expensive super badass character cannot be turn into a spawn or a daemon prince....

I also think they should make price hood evolution more similar to the fantasy version where you do keep your equipement etc...

Abaddon's buff is a very good one....thumbsup.gif

sad but true that it is a buff to make a model immune to the negative effects of our special army rule =/

also, BA hatred may be fluffy, but I'd have preferred rules that are fluffy AND beneficial, like EW for DPs or fearless oblits msn-wink.gif

btw
Q: If a model rolls Spawnhood or Dark Apotheosis on the Chaos Boon
Table, does it retain the effects of any Chaos Boon Table rolls that have
been applied to it so far during the game? (p29)
A: No.

--> not fluffy and also paradoxical: do Spawn/DA now cancel themselves?

Yeah, true. But we can't win em all (or even the majority in this case), take the bones we're given and maybe one day the gods'll FAQ us in our dues.

Also, doesn't daemon confer fearless? I dunno, I don't use oblits.

No, they do not have champion of chaos, so they do not roll after their "buff". I can't understand, why Kelly hates us so much?

I think that some people might have been firing say lascannons in the shooting phase and overwatching with them afterwards. Now you have to change your weapon everytime you fire instead of only in each shooting phase.

Oblits are Slow & Purposeful so they can't overwatch.

Did GW forget that they are slow and purposeful and cannot overwatch?

[Edit]: Well, one possible explanation would have to be Puppet Master I guess...

These are all the changes:

Page 42 – Obliterators, Obliterator Weapons

Change the final sentence to “An Obliterator unit cannot

choose to fire the same weapon in two consecutive shooting

attacks”.

Page 57 – Abaddon the Despoiler, Mark of Chaos Ascendent

Add the following sentence “If Abaddon rolls Spawnhood or

Dark Apotheosis on the Chaos Boon Table, re-roll this result

(and any further results of the same). The Despoiler is not

meant for Daemonhood just yet!”

Q: If a model rolls Spawnhood or Dark Apotheosis on the Chaos Boon

Table, does it retain the effects of any Chaos Boon Table rolls that have

been applied to it so far during the game? (p29)

A: No.

Q: If a Helbrute that is already Immobilised rolls Fire Frenzy, does

it lose an additional Hull Point? (p56)

A: No.

Q: Is a model equipped with the Scrolls of Magnus that does not

begin the game as a Psyker, considered to have become a Psyker once

they acquire one or more additional psychic powers from the scrolls?

For example a Dark Apostle with the Mark of Tzeentch. (p69)

A: Yes, the model has the Psyker rule from that point

onward, and is considered to have Mastery Level 1.

It would be nice if Khârn was also immune from Prince/Spawn as well, but since Abaddon is the only EW now this is at least consistent.

I never thought of Fire Frenzy as doing damage to the Dreadnought. Were some people insisting that since "Immobilised" was on the damage chart it must also count as having been penetrated and so lose a HP?

For a while there anything that was Immobilized people wanted to take a hull point from.  Drop pods, artillary, you name it.  Some WAAC site said it was so and all the belivers followed suit.  If you just read the rules it makes perfect sense.  Glancing and Penitrating hits cause loss of hull points.  The damage table does not.  So it had to be FAQ'ed.
