How to beat Deamons of Chaos

Hello fellow Brothers,

I would like to ask how to beat Deamons of Chaos, because I need space, they are controling in the Campaign and there can be no mercy. We have specific rules I will post you right under
this foreword and I desperately need a help.

I can have these slots in my army:

1 HQ2-4 Troops1 Fast attack1 Elites

And because of the amount of my planets (conquered during the campaign) I can add:

+1 Heavy support+1 HQ+1 Troops

Would it be possible to help me please.

Your sincerely hengrid

Rune Priest is worth his weight in gold here for the runic weapon, again. He'll put a stop to biomancy shenanigans, and he mocks the existance of pink horrors (Oh, you made your Leadership check on LD 8? Good for you. Now I get a 50% chance to cancel the power, before you even get to shoot me!)

Anti-monstrous creature firepower is highly reccomended, as their Monstrous creatures are one of the more fearsome things in the codex. Also, be aware of the Soul Grinder, which can potentially get a 2+ Cover save with the Mark of Nurgle.

Their troops, however, are nothing to write home about. Plaguebearers and Nurglings are respectable objective holders (But are hopeless at anything else), and Pink horrors have a passable shooting attack when they're not at the mercy of Eldar, Tyranid, Space Wolf, or Grey Knight psychic defense... But, since you do have that level of psychic defense, they're crap. Bloodthirsters and Daemonettes both have comparable statlines to guardsmen in cover, without the guardsmen's low pricetag. Or, you know, a shooting attack.

Also, be aware that Phil Kelly apparently was going through some sort of dice rolling phase or something, because the codex is unbelievably random. Sometimes you may find him blasting every unengaged unit of yours with a template... And a significant portion of his as well. Losing Combat is also going to do really weird things to his units.

Given the wonky force org chart he's likely working with, I'd guess you're probably going to see some shenanigans with Herald-Based deathstars, most likely hoping he can table/cripple you before objectives come into play.

Also, are you attacking (Which, from what I gleaned from your last thread, gives you a point advantage) or defending (Which let you choose mission and deployment type, as I understand it)?
