Coconuts
Whay would guys say was the most rewarding ba successor chapter to paint and also the most to paint? If your own chapter is more difficult then post a pic of their scheme. Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274834-most-rewarding-chapter-to-paint/ Share on other sites
Leonaides
Difficult? Probably the lamentors checkered shoulderpad chapter markings... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274834-most-rewarding-chapter-to-paint/#findComment-3361990 Share on other sites
Xenith
It depends entirely on how much detail you want to put into them. BA are probably the easiest to get to a standard level, due to presence of transfers, etc. Lamenters the hardest because you need to be willing to put the time and practice into freehanding a checkerboard. My BA feature a lot of freehand, so take a long time to paint to completion, but it's quick to get them to tabletop standard. Zynk Kaladin
Like Xenith, I like to freehand things onto my marines. My Night Angel's scheme is ridiculously easy, but the devil is in the details. I paint skulls on the pauldrons of my Death Co or my more "death-worshiping" dudes and freehand wings onto my more "angely" dudes. Some marines I paint gold etchings of nobility onto various parts of their armor and my Sanguinary Guard are fully etched. Any scheme can be rewarding to paint depending on how much you put into it. But if I were to choose, I like the Angels Sanguine color scheme. Boomkapow
i'd have to say Lamentors as well. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z384/boomkapow1/lm.jpg *This not my miniature and I do not take credit for it. Just using as example. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274834-most-rewarding-chapter-to-paint/#findComment-3363435 Share on other sites
John Rainbow
Stuff using a lot of the crappy paint colours i.e. the more translucent ones are always more pleasing to pull off. Specifically I'm thinking white and yellow here as the worst colours to get right. John Rainbow
As such, White Scars would be pretty high in my book too - I've only done a couple for a friend so far: http://www.ulthuan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=786520#p786520 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274834-most-rewarding-chapter-to-paint/#findComment-3363533 Share on other sites
Demoulius
i dont know about rewarding, but my vote also goes to the Lamenters. First of all yellow is hard to paint but looks beatifull, just in itself. If you can manage to paint those checkers onto every marine though? You got yourself one gorgious army!
