Angels of Terra (Second Take)

This is my first attempt at creating fluff for my Angels of Terra. I hope out of this to create something interesting to tell about them on the battlefield.

Home World:Oceanic 3rd from sun (working on details)

 

Librarians: Head Librarian Ignacio and 5 others.

 

Chaplain: Vesuvius twin brother of Volcous

Former chaplain 'Volcous' the corrupter (working on how he obtain title)

 

Chapter Master: Altavion. (working on bio)

Venerable Dreadnought: 2 former Chapter Master Olimus who defeated the infamous Chaos Warlord of 'The Fallen'

 

Chapter creation was in honor of Sanguinius' death and the actions he took that day. The chapter has made an oath that in honor of Sanguinius that they will defend Terra as Sanguinius had once done.

 

System (under work)

Their are seven planets in the system.

Sun is a blue giant.

1st planet is barren rock no sign of life ever being or coming to be.

2nd a volcanic planet. Inhabit by aggressive salamanders. Only organics are fire salamanders who range from man size to as large as a Landraider. Only two fire salamanders (Mahr and Tara) are larger and only stir when their volcanoes erupt.

3rd Oceanic world home world of the Angels of Terra chapter. (under work further details to arrive)

4th Hive world

5th abandon since the war against the Fallen. Only value of now is mining.

6th Desert

7th Jungle planet inhabit by orks also features the Blood Forest.

 

Blood Forest Description:It has been question if the blood forest should be burn as it seem to have been sprouted by chaos during the chapters war with its traitorous brothers but record show that the odd species of tree has been on that planet since the system has been inhabit but has grown so large do to the battle against chaos that happen 2,000 years before.

 

Orks of the Jungle planet:

the orks enter the system and surprise the local force. The orks manage to push the PDF Navy all the way back to the hive planet. The orks easily secured the 6th and 7th planet and were now contesting for the 5th which was a major world for the hive planet mine the resource from it sent its army to fight.The governor thought that there was no need to call their space marine allies since they were believe that the orks gains were only by the fact of their surprise arrival. They're naive judgment of the ork warboss who had all his life raided imperial worlds. As the battle over the mining world went on for a week. It was now realized that the orks would eventually conquer the world and would most likely then be able to conquer the hive planet itself. Instantly the chapter responded with the part of the fleet in system was always at stand by expecting that soon the glory greedy governor would soon called for aid. A message was sent to the chapter to assist in the battle. The Space marine fleet was able to break through the enraging space battle to the planet. With lightning fast deployment from the battle barges and the fact that the orks were now facing two forces now was able to drive the orks off the planet. Though they won the world the did not cast the orks out of the system.The combine strength of fleets soon began to destroy the ork fleet but not with expect results. It was believe that with time the orks would see they had no chance of winning and would withdraw but instead the orks made planet fall on the 7th and thus began a 5 year long campaign to root out the orks. The battles during this seven years was fierce. Only end of the war was when the ork army was trap between the forces of the imperium and blood forest did the ork made a gamble to break through both armies did Altavion finally have the chance to slay the ork warboss who was by no means an easy task to do as he had proven to already have slain 7 imperial commanders already. But though the victory was won by the imperium the routing orks did manage to survive by going through the blood forest though the orks did suffer additional casualties their number was too great for the forest to devourer all of the greenskin. The task of purging them from the planet was left to the local Guards who have not manage to remove them from the planet till this day.

 

Now the meaty section and explain why a former chaplain is name the corrupter.

Angel of Terra history: (under work)

The biggest lost to this chapter was not meet on a battlefield but one that happen during the time when the chapter was heading to it's now home planet (coming with it's name and location in the galaxy) during a routine hop back into the warp after defeating a rebellion in a system. On arrival to the fleet's next destination it was apparent that part of the fleet never arrived and 1/3 of the chapter was now missing. The battle Barge "Vigilant" was lost and the head chaplain Volcous. To mourn the lost of their brother the chapter new battle barge was name "The Lost" and within it's cathedral a candle burns for every brother that was lost. 3,000 years later "Vigilant" emerge in the system. The marines board the ship with no trouble and all seems well with only fact no signs of dead or living marines. upon the cathedral Chapter Master Olimus heart sank for on the door the mark of chaos was clear and blow it was the former chaplain helmet. There were no records of what had happen during the time Vigilant was trap in warp. Later it was the battle barge "The Lost" honor to destroy the 'Vigilant'. This information was hidden from all who were not Angel of Terra marines.

 

Week later traitorous marines appear in system to came to wage war.

Well a few days ago I had an idea of changing this chapter to be base off of Roman and Prussian culture.

 

I kind of want it to say that the chapter culture was influence by a marine's pilgrimage to terra and reading of ancient text.

 

But I have zero idea if marines do such a thing and if they would be granted access to such information.

 

So I'm asking is it possible for them or should I seek another route to explain it?
