franzdietrich
What is the difference between weapon strength and unit strength? I noticed a "S" in unit stats and an "S" in ranged weapon stats. For example, a..Tau rifle (sorry) has a Strength 5 and a Fire Warrior itself has a Strength 3. Interrogator-Chaplain Ezra
Weapon stats are used when resolving attacks using that weapon. Trooper strength is used when resolving said model's close combat attacks, modified as appropriate for special rules and wargear. To use your example, the Fire Warrior shooting is resolved with S5, his close combat attacks with S3. It's all in the rulebook.
