Brother dean
Um, yes we know. especially since it came out in August 2012 and is nearly a year old. A quick search might have turned up several previous discussions of the "book". Magos Valkamar
While we're on the topic, did anyone else think that the Dark Angel that helped Cerberus could have actually been Cypher? Aegnor
In fairness to Degas, I saw Grey Angel listed as a new release for May 2013 on the BL website last week. Who knows why - the site is pretty random these days. Jack - that's the popular view. recon0321
Why is loken still referred to as Cerberus? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275053-grey-angel/#findComment-3369362 Share on other sites
Aegnor
Would have to go back and check the specific context but I think he gives that name to Luther as an alias to avoid identifying himself as a prominent (former) member of the Sons of Horus. Given at that stage he doesn't know what Luther knows of the rebellion, or what side he is on, that's a sensible precaution. More philosophically, maybe because Loken post Istvaan III is both Loken AND Cerberus. The horror and sense of abandonment isn't gone just because he's recalled his real name - the rage and despair-fuelled savagery of Cerberus is always going to be a part of Loken - albeit with a focus and awareness that he lacked before recalling his real identity.
