War Angel
Any one know if there's a bit for the shoulder pad out there somewhere? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275210-tyranic-war-veteran/ Share on other sites
Seleucus
No, there is'nt. Personally, I used GS moulds from the original Ultra Tyrranic War Vets models (still available on GW's UK site under SM army Elites) and bitz from various 'nids to equip my conversions with pads etc to give me a full 10 man unit. Durus
I have the models sitting around somewhere here as well. I thought I'd use a DA pad and sculpt the Tyranid head over it. It's basically a stylized skull with some extra stuff attached to the top. So probably not that hard. You could also just use plain DA pads and use the swords without the heads and say the ones with skull earned additional honors. I've been sitting over my molds all day and pouring resin. So looking at the models now I think if you don't want to cut a model up to get a master you could still do a two piece mold. First half would be the outside, then you take it off the model, put a plastic pad in and pour the other half. Might require a little extra work since the pad on the metal mini probably won't be identical to a plastic one but it could work. If you are into making your own pieces.
