sn33r
Hello after all this talk of arjac I've decided to convert him so how do you lot paint your for hammer? As a power weapon silver with blue wash/glaze or thunder hammer white to black wet blend? Cheers rob. eyeslikethunder
I went for black dry brushed gold with silver highlights. And brown and black washes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275222-foe-hammer-painting/#findComment-3368237 Share on other sites
Cate
I painted my hammer electrical blue, just to point out that Arjacs weapon is a bit special. Hard to see in this picture, but you might get an idea what I mean.. /C Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275222-foe-hammer-painting/#findComment-3368245 Share on other sites
Greylocke
I played off the anvil/blacksmith traits of the model. So the head of the hammer I painted like a big chunk of Fenrisian Iron. Then I painted the trim and inlays gold with the old chesnut wash, then the smaller details picked out in pure gold (no wash) and silver. It really depends on the overall feel of your army. I like my Wolves to look more primative so I downplay the tech aspects of their weapons. But if the rest of your army has highlighted tech then the foe hammer should reflect that too, being a specially crafted weapon.
