Just a quick note on that librarian: I have that same model and have noticed two major things about mine. First, I don't recall EVER having fired his plasma pistol, choosing instead to use smite or avenger instead. That makes me regret spending the points on the pistol. Second, I always get more mileage out of my librarian in terminator armor.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned so far is that multi-trackers (the thing that allows battlesuits to fire two weapons) only work in the shooting phase. It's something a lot of Tau players overlook. So if your opponents Riptide, Broadside and Crisis are all firing two weapons with their Overwatch/Supporting Fire, your opponent is (probably mistakenly) being a naughty Shas'O.
