winterdyne
Ok, so I'm being unoriginal with the colour scheme. But with SG being retired, my local group has typically decided to start up a Necro campaign. Gave me an excuse to paint this chap up.I actually have a couple more models painted but need to practice my photography some more it seems...http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/arbites/fw_enforcer.jpg

Emperors Immortals
Im actually in need of Arnites/ Enforcer models - could you give me a rough idea of the bitz or is this the limited mini with a cyber/mastiff?
winterdyne
That's the event only one. As for cultists, the models from the Dark Vengeance box set should be perfectly suitable.

winterdyne
Necromunda gangs were the order of the day. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat490066a&rootCatGameStyle=specialist-games Don't think they'll be there long though. Tyrannicide
The more I see this model, the more I fall in love with it. Seeing yours painted just solidifies that for me. Great colors. :)
Durus
Love how you brought out the age in the face. If I'm not mistaken he also seems to have eyebrows, which is a rare sight. Great work!
winterdyne
I usually do eyebrows on faces if they have facial hair. Looks wrong if you don't. And yeah, he's a grumpy old' sod is Judge Turner. Still need to get a pic of Hooch.

Urauloth
Wow, that face. That's absolutely gorgeous work, how did you do that?
winterdyne
A wet palette and lots of layers. Only actually takes about 15-20 minutes or so. My typical progression is based on tallarn flesh shaded with a nice flesh shade (GW's current one is fine) highlighted up to VMA sand, sometime with a touch of VMC ivory in the mix. Stubble and eyebrows by adding dark grey to the flesh mix - it's important to keep the greys mixed with flesh to keep it subtle and natural. Eyesockets shaded with a little VGC heavy violet, cheeks and noze glazed with a little GW blood red, lips tinted with VMC burnt cadmium red. I do tend to go back and forth when doing an 'arty' face like this so there's no real 'do this, then do this' other than the initial wash always comes first and then the eyes / teeth before doing the majority of the face. Durus
Man, I love those models. Have been trying to get my hands on some of those myself for some time now. And I love what you did with them. I'm kind of surprised by how well the old and new models look together, too. Great stuff.
