Painting

All right gals and guys. The new painting contest is up and we need to try (do or do not, there is no try. Famous words) anyhow,  to have a good, no great, showing.  Now the great thing about this kinda competion for us is our down fall in list building, points cost. Because ours cost so much, we can build up points in the comp fast. My vow is already 1500 pts with just 17 models. We can win the bragging rights if we all get busy. So dust off those models and break out the paints and win this thing! (There should be some kinda inspirational music playing in the background, hmm, lets come up with a theme song as well. Lets say AC/DC's- Gone Shooting for a starting point)

I figure this might be a good spot for questions to keep the contest thread for just what people vow.

 

1) How does this contest work? Do we need to post picture evidence of what we are doing or is it all scout's honur type of thing?

 

2) What can a vow consit of? Is it figures from out of the box to fully painted? Or can I take modles I have built and paint them?

We are supposed to put pics up of before and after. They can be models you built at anytime. Figure out what the points cost of each model/unit is, this contest is mostly about points, and helps to kick us in the butt to model and paint. If you look in the forum, you will see a topic, +++E Tenebrae Lux II - Grey Knights Strategium+++, and here it gives rules for it. Also, if you look in each army specific forum you will see the same topic. So if you pledge on this one, it is for Grey Knights and if it is a different one, you will pledge in that one, i.e. space wolves, dark angels, etc.
