Thirst! Great to have you back, looks like all us old ones are emerging from the shadows and dust of ages past to stand for the LIBER when called.

Cambrius

I don't know about you guys, but I just started a nice four day weekend, so I'm going to get some painting done. Seeing as this is a team effort, I'm going to try and make our team a little bigger (I've already done some neighborhood recruiting). Any one who enters the challenge (for the liber of course) this weekend, starting now and ending Monday, will be entered in a raffle. I can't really afford to give much out, so I think a fair price is I will model/ create/ pose/ whatever/ to anything that is codex legal of the winners choice. Anything you want, that will be my next task after painting for this challenge.

Sound ok? I know it's probably really weak, but it's not really going to cost you much... It's like those crappy toys in the quarter machines...

The only exception is I will not do somthing that is going to be waistful or not useful to my army.

good on you warangel. I actually have to work on this 96, so its no painting for me. I was able to get all of my vehicles, heavy weapons guys and a dred primed, base coated, some detail paint and a few layers of wash done. the dread is almost done. the heavy weapons guys did a bit more detail and I am about half done with the vehicles. (this can be seen in my WIP page).

I killed 3 pots of snot green and 2 pots of bial tan green wash in a few hours. this was all applied with a brush, (despite what some people may think). had someone in another forum tell me that I was wasting my money due to using GW paint and not using reaper or Army painter spray paint. if i had used the spray i would have been done with these guys already.

but now back on topic, I cleaned out my LFGS of warpstone glow (snot greens replacement for those who dont know it). So a friend of mine is going to the closest GW shop on saturday and is going to get me around 6-10 pots of it and 3 pots of wash. that should get me though my troops and get this vow done.

Since today was a workday and I couldnt get much done in the morning, I went ahead and built up some new models for the next vow that will be coming after this. it shall be on. with these and with the GW order on the way, the reenforcements are coming.... and hells coming with me!!

ya, come on war angel. you are welcome to join us in our single combat.

and its good training too. plus its raining here so you know what that means.... if it aint raining, you aint training.

on a side note, remember me telling you about the game shop im opening shortly. we changed the name due to a falling out with the 3rd member of the team, now we have changed it to Leatherneck WarGaming. wonder where we came up with that name from.....

Meeeeee!!!!

I'm working on 70 points right now, two Dp's.

I'm not sure how many more points ill try to do on this challenge. It will depend. How does this game you two are doing work?

I think, available to me... I've got 740ish..... Depending.

If I'm lucky I've got another 10 man assault squad I can vow, and if I finish all that, plenty of boxes of marines to go around.

pretty much we are engaged in single combat with each other. its an informal game. we both like to do big armies so we are trying to outdo each other. but i know that you cant do the craziness like we do. so for you I would suggest this. you know what you are able to do, in this case you vowed 2 drop pods. try to push yourself to get those done then make a 2nd-5th vows if possible and try to add an extra unit to each as you go. so 3 units in your next vow, etc. that way you are pushing your skillsm, increasing your speed and pushing the line.

you know i am a former marine. i had suggestions made to me of devildog customs, devildog wargaming, and leatherneck customs for the shop. but all were taken. the area we are opening has a lot of former and retired marines so they can identify with us better. plus there will be a little something special for the vets in our shop.

Welcome War Angel, the offer is open to any of our Codex brothers and sisters as well, Arizonajirt has it right. Its not about the size of your pledge but out doing yourself with each pledge you add in points or quality. There is nothing like seeing a table full of painted mini's :)

Come join us........
