Aegnor
I understand only the unit that purchases the dedicated transport can deploy in that transport. Can other units use the transport at later stages? eg. If I have a unit of terminators I want to deepstrike, and I buy them a Land Raider as a dedicated transport, can I put the terminators in reserve, deploy the Land Raider, then in turn 1 embark another squad onto that Land Raider? That's my understanding, but just want to confirm it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275517-other-units-using-dedicated-transports/ Share on other sites
Fibonacci
Check the rules at the bottom of page 78. It's pretty clear. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275517-other-units-using-dedicated-transports/#findComment-3372369 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Not being able to is a weird holdover some people have from a time long ago, a dark time when transports were very very exclusive. Hey, it wasn't a dark time. Back then you could assault after disembarking from everything, and even disembark after moving 12"+ up the field. (Oh overcharged engines, i miss you). It was a time of light when the servants of the emperor served drive-by melta death to the traitor and the alien before charging in with chainswords drawn and bolt pistols blazing.
